29-rodrigo martinez gutierrez-WHY WE CAN’T TROW NUCLEAR WASTE TO A VOLCANO?

BY:

    RODRIGO MARTINEZ GUTIERREZ

Yes , all people thinks that if you throw something to a volcano , this item it would be absorbs and melts by the lava , but this thought is false with the nuclear waste.

Why? Because the lava of a volcano has a maximum of 1316 ºC and the nuclear waste needs a minimum of 1.855 ºC to be absorb and melt by the heat.

What would happen if we do that anyway? The container where the nuclear waste it will be molten , but the nuclear waste don't , it would stay
up ,  the solid lava , until anyone move it.

If this nuclear waste stay there until the volcano start the eruption  , it will be a very important , serious and dangerous problem . Because the magma is hotter than 1855 ºC , the temperature it is needed to nuclear waste be melted , this liquid nuclear waste join with the lava that go out of the erupted volcano , all the places near to the volcano will be radioactive for decades  , and the air polluted can go 10KM up, until the stratosphere.
